Individual counseling is basically a collaborative effort between you and your counselor. Our goal is to provide an open, supportive, and confidential environment for you to address the issues that are concerning you.
Counseling is a process that can help an individual or family identify more effective strategies both to cope with difficult situations and to achieve your goals. While some people who seek counseling have chronic emotional difficulties, others are dealing with normal life events and are simply in need of an objective listener - someone who doesn't judge and who can help them see new alternatives and solutions.
Child and adolescent counseling makes a difference in the child’s life by helping him or her to come to terms with the reality of his or her situation, focusing on solutions, teaching coping skills and behavior management techniques, and providing alternatives to problematic behavior that can lead to increased appropriate relationships at home, in school and in the community.
Couples or marriage counseling is designed to support people in a relationship who may be considering separation or possible divorce and/or are seeking an improved overall understanding and relationship with their partner. In couples or marriage counseling, the relationship is the focus, although each partner should also expect to focus on self-improvement and self-awareness. Effective counseling will likely address many aspects of the relationship, although communication tends to be the primary focus of relationship counseling.
